Saving and opening

Patterns are saved to your account.

Saving

Ctrl+S or File > Save saves the open pattern. The first time, it asks for a name. File > Save as saves a copy under a new name and leaves the original as it was. The pattern's name sits in the title bar, and it is marked when there are changes you have not saved yet.

If the same pattern was saved from another browser since you opened it, saving here stops and tells you, so one copy cannot silently overwrite the other. You can reload the newer copy or save yours under a new name.

Opening

The home page lists your patterns with a small preview of each. Click one to open it. File > Open lists them from inside the editor, and File > New starts a blank canvas. Either asks first if the open pattern has unsaved changes.

Exporting an image

File > Export image (PNG) downloads the visible layers as a picture, one pixel per stitch, with no grid lines. It is the quickest way to share a design or to bring it into another program. For a chart to stitch from, see Printing a pattern.
